batampos – The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General of Housing stated that 22 towers of Construction Worker’s Houses (HPK) had been built in the Archipelago Capital.
HPK is in the form of flats (flats) with modular technology, currently 12 towers are ready to be used as the residence of construction workers who will work on building a number of infrastructures at IKN Nusantara.
“As many as 22 towers of Residential House Construction Workers, in general the construction has been established at IKN Nusantara,” said the Director General of Housing of the PUPR Ministry, Iwan Suprijanto during a field visit to the IKN Nusantara Construction Worker Housing construction site in East Kalimantan, Thursday (26/1 /2023).
Iwan added, of the total 22 existing towers, 12 of them are functional enough for workers to use.
“Most of these towers have also been occupied and occupied by workers complete with their supporting facilities,” he said.
The development of the HPK IKN Nusantara is a mandate from the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo as stipulated in Presidential Regulation Number 63 of 2022 concerning Details of the Archipelago Capital Master Plan. So it is hoped that the construction of this IKN will also apply a new work culture and a good construction safety management system.
“The development of HPK is carried out in order to provide comfort, safety and improve the quality of health for workers at IKN,” he said.
Furthermore, added Iwan, each tower will have four floors. The purpose of this HPK development will be designated as a residence or accommodation facility for construction workers at IKN Nusantara.
The HPK area will also be equipped with a number of supporting facilities such as a mess hall or function room, dining room, place of worship, health clinic, management office and several other supporting facilities.
“So all the construction workers working on the construction of the IKN can be placed in this location. Moreover, in the coming months there will be more and more construction workers working at IKN,” he said
