31 Disasters Befall Bogor During Heavy Rain Last Sunday

JawaPos.com – The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Bogor City, West Java noted that there were 31 disasters of fallen trees, landslides, collapsed buildings and strong winds that occurred in the area during heavy rains to light on Sunday (4/9) at 17.00 WIB to 19.00 WIB.

“To date, we have reported 31 disasters. Earlier, together with the mayor, we reviewed several locations of fallen trees, other officers spread to other points,” said Bogor City BPBD Chief Executive Theofilo Patrocinio Freitas when confirmed in Bogor City, Sunday.

Theofilo said there were 15 incidents of fallen trees, dominated by West Bogor Regency, Central Bogor Regency and one point in South Bogor Regency.

Theofilo and the Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya, have also visited the two locations of the fallen tree.

Meanwhile, a landslide occurred at one point in the Lebak Sari area, Paledang Village, Central Bogor Regency. Two incidents of building collapse occurred in Pasir Jaya Village, West Bogor Regency.

Then 12 strong winds occurred in three sub-districts. Six incidents in South Bogor Regency, four incidents in Central Bogor, two incidents in West Bogor Regency.

Due to strong winds, said Theo, the Diskominfo tower in the Bogor City Hall area collapsed on several buildings of the Regional Secretary and the roof of the mosque.

Previously, while reviewing the location of a fallen tree on Jalan Cidangiang, Tegallega Village, Central Bogor Regency with Theofilo, the Mayor of Bogor ordered the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) together with the village head, sub-district head and the Housing and Settlement Service (Disperumkim) to coordinate emergency actions. for residents affected by the fallen tree disaster today.

People’s buildings affected by the loss of fallen trees and victims of minor injuries must be immediately handled by joint BPBD officers, local officials and Disperumkim.
