Minister of Health Appreciates Sumedang Regional Government’s Innovation on This Problem

JABARNEWS │ JAKARTA – Health innovations in the regions continue to grow. One of them comes from Sumedang Regency, West Java.

It is noted that the area known as Tofu City has developed an electronic-based stunting management, Simpati.

This policy immediately received appreciation from the Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin. Appreciation for the initiative and leadership is given because Sumedang is currently accelerating the reduction of stunting through Simpati.

Then what is Sympathy?

Based on data from the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes), in the last five years the prevalence of stunting in Sumedang Regency, West Java, has decreased from 32.2 percent in 2018 to 8.27 percent in 2022.

Through the Integrated Stunting Management Information System (Simpati) platform, Sumedang Regency connects various interests ranging from Posyandu cadres, Puskesmas, villages, related offices to regional heads to receive stunting reports.

The general public and parents can also use this application to check a child’s nutritional status.
