Operations in 3 Regions, 4 Elite Khilafatul Muslimin Arrested by Police

batampos – Investigators from the Directorate General of Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the Metro Jaya Police arrested four important figures related to the Khilafatul Muslimin organization in a number of areas.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol. Endra Zulpan said the four people had the initials AA, IN, F, and SW.

“The arrests of four people were carried out on June 11, 2022. Then there were three places of arrest, the first in Lampung, namely the headquarters of the Khilafatul Muslimin. Then the second one is in Bekasi, to be precise in Pekayon. The third is in the city of Medan,” said Endra Zulpan in Jakarta, Sunday (12/8).

Endra added that the four people had different roles in the Khilafatul Muslimin organization. Among them is AA as the Secretary of the Khilafatul Muslimin who runs operations and finances.

IN who was arrested by the officers in Lampung played a role in spreading these teachings through the education system and also training carried out by the Khilafatul Muslimin mass organization.

“F who was arrested in Medan is the person in charge of finance and fundraising for the Khilafatul Muslimin. In Bekasi, initially SW acted as the administrator and founder of the Khilafatul Muslimin and its highest leadership,” said Zulpan.

From the arrest, Zulpan said his party also secured evidence in the form of attributes of mass organizations, books and bulletins related to the Khilafatul Muslimin, as well as several computer units.

“Now that the team has brought it, of course, later we will check what is in the computer unit,” said Zulpan.

Furthermore, Zulpan said that the four had been named suspects by the Jakarta Metro Police investigators with the allegation of Article 59 paragraph 4 and 82 paragraph 1 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 16 of 2017 concerning Ormas.

“And/or Article 14 paragraphs 1 and 2, and/or Article 15 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 1946 concerning criminal law regulations with the threat of imprisonment for a minimum of five years and a maximum of 20 years in prison,” said Zulpan.(*)
