Ukraine: Russian Statements About Peace Negotiations Just Nonsense – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called Russia’s statement about peace negotiations complete nonsense.

“Nonsense, everything they (the Russians) say. We won’t believe it, and more importantly, we’re glad more and more countries don’t believe it either,” Kuleba said in an interview with Canadian television station CBC News, Tuesday (17/11).

Kuleba said that the recent attack on the town of Dnipro in eastern Ukraine will not force Kiev to surrender.

“We can’t just say ‘Okay, we give up, because you attacked residential buildings, killed parents, mothers, children, spread terror.’ It will be worse if we behave like that,” said Kuleba.

As is well known, a Russian missile hit an apartment building in the city of Dnipro, eastern Ukraine, Saturday morning (14/1) and resulted in at least 40 people being killed and dozens injured.

Earlier, President Vladimir Putin said that Russia was ready to talk with all parties involved in the war in Ukraine, which has been going on since February last year. Putin himself has accused Ukraine and its Western allies of refusing to negotiate

Earlier, United Nations (UN) Secretary General Antonio Guterres condemned the Russian missile attack on an apartment complex in Dnipro. In a statement released on Monday, Guterres spokeswoman Stephanie Tremblay said Guterres strongly condemned the deadly missile attack on a residential building in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro.

“Attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure violate international humanitarian law. This must end immediately,” Guterres said
