With Suspect Status, Police Criminal Investigation Unit Has Not Detained Four Former ACT Officials

JABARNEWS | JAKARTA – Four former officials of the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Foundation officially bear the status of suspects. The determination of the suspect in the alleged misappropriation of humanitarian funds from philanthropic institutions was immediately carried out by the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) of the Indonesian National Police this afternoon, Monday (25/7/2022).

The four former ACT officials named as suspects include Ahyudin, Ibnu Khajar, Heriyana Hermani, and Noviardi Imam Akbari. Even though they are suspects, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police has not detained the four.

Dirtipideksus Bareskrim Polri stated that it would still carry out internal discussions to determine the time of detention.

“For the time being, we will resume arrests and detentions,” said Wadirtipideksus, National Police Criminal Investigation Unit Commissioner Helfi Assegaf.

For information, the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit has raised a case of alleged misappropriation of aid funds by the ACT philanthropic organization.

The Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karo Penmas) at the National Police Headquarters Kombes Pol Ahmad Ramadhan explained that the investigation stage of the ACT case has reached the investigation stage.

“Update on misappropriation of ACT Foundation funds. The case has been upgraded from an investigation to an investigation,” said Ahmad Ramadhan, Monday (11/7/2022). (red)
