8 Stalls Affected by Waru Pamekasan Market Fire

Pamekasan (beritajatim.com) – At least 8 stalls in the Waru Pamekasan Market complex were affected by a fire which was thought to be caused by an electrical short circuit, Saturday (30/3/2024).

"There were 8 stalls affected by the fire at Waru Market, the stalls were at the front of the market around the main road area," said Waru Police Chief, Inspector Subroto.

The fire caused a stir among residents, especially as the incident occurred when the market was busy with visitors, namely at around 6:00 WIB.

Luckily the incident didn't last long, so it didn't spread to other kiosks which were positioned close to each other.

"Thank God, we managed to extinguish the fire, with the help of members of the TNI, Fire and Rescue, and the local community who worked together and worked together to extinguish the fire," he said.

Of the 8 kiosks affected by the fire, including kiosks selling sandals and basic necessities. "Thank God there were no casualties, but the loss is estimated at around IDR 800 million," he explained.

It's just that the party has not been able to confirm the cause of the fire, but it is currently suspected that it was caused by an electrical short circuit.
