Ahead of the voting, Taufiq Budi Santoso reminds West Java Provincial Government ASN to remain neutral

JABARNEWS | BANDUNG – Acting West Java Regional Secretary Taufiq Budi Santoso reminded state civil servants within the West Java Provincial Government to remain neutral ahead of the 2024 Election voting.

This was conveyed by Taufiq in front of the West Java Regional Secretariat ASN and BPKAD during the morning assembly at Gedung Sate Bandung, Monday (5/2/2024).

"I remind you again that on February 14 2024 we will hold elections, namely the presidential election, central, provincial and district and city legislative elections. "For this reason, we must maintain neutrality, we still have nine days to maintain this," he said.

According to Taufiq, it is feared that the political temperature will heat up in the nine days before the voting. Therefore, he asked his staff not to get carried away and continue to uphold neutrality in accordance with statutory regulations.

"Hopefully we can carry out what is mandated by law as well as possible," said Taufiq.

Apart from maintaining neutrality, he also asked ASNs to maintain conduciveness and contribute to the success of holding the elections by giving them their voting rights in the voting booth.

"We hope that on February 14 2024 everyone can express their right to vote at their respective polling stations," he hoped.

ASN has the political right to vote. However, ASN's expression of political alignment can only be implemented at polling stations (TPS) not in public spaces.

So far the West Java Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) has not found any neutrality violations committed by the West Java Provincial Government ASN. Taufik ensured that the neutrality of West Java Provincial Government ASN was well maintained. They have implemented the applicable rules and are not involved in practical politics. (Ed)
