Ema Sumarna asks for KM 149 and 151 Gedebage toll exits to be opened, this is the reason

JABARNEWS | BANDUNG – The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) is encouraging the opening of the KM 149 and KM 151 toll exits as a solution to the traffic jams that occur in the Gedebage area.

Currently there are several busy central areas that will be packed with residents, such as the Al Jabbar Grand Mosque, GBLA Stadium, Tegaluar High Speed Train Station and Summarecon Mall.

Bandung City Regional Secretary Ema Sumarna said that Exit Toll 149 could be a solution to the problem of traffic jams in the Gedebage area. He also encouraged the construction of KM 149 to be completed up to Jalan Soekarno Hatta.

“The letter is being processed. We want to encourage KM 149 to reach Jalan Soekarno-Hatta. Yes, now it only reaches Summarecon. "This means it is not yet complete, so this is what we are pushing for," said Ema, Wednesday (31/1/2024).

In addition to the KM 149 Toll Exit, he also pushed for the acceleration of construction of the KM 151 Toll Exit. He said that in the future the toll road construction will cut through land and the road construction will also be on roads belonging to the Bandung City Government.

"Currently the process of opening KM 151 is also being accelerated. The authority is in the central government. We are supportive by nature. If later the city government has to grant it, I don't think there will be a problem. Because G2G can. "Yes, government to government for the grant process," he said.

Apart from that, Ema said that currently Summarecon is preparing a road access called Sector 5. However, the access crosses the river. For this reason, he also encouraged BBWS to immediately issue recommendations so that permits can be issued immediately.

"Yes, it's not bad if it is opened for later access to Al Jabbar, you can also circle around to get to the mall. Or later you can go directly to GBLA. "There will be a balley bridge there," he said.

According to him, this effort will certainly take a long time. Nearby, he said, traffic engineering must remain optimized. Then, the arrangement of traffic lights and the placement of more officers must be increased.

"Because things that require time cannot possibly be implemented now," he said. (Ed)
