JABARNEWS | BANDUNG – Dozens of sheep livestock belonging to residents in Citapen Village RT 02/08, Mekarjaya Village, Ciemas District, Sukabumi Regency have been stolen.

The sheep is known to belong to a resident named Ucah (57). Dozens of his sheep were lost to thieves just last night.

Based on the statement of the victim's son, Rusman (24), this theft occurred on Friday (15/3/2024) and was only discovered the next day when Ucah was about to graze his sheep after the Zuhur call to prayer.

"The thieves' actions are estimated to be between 24.00 WIB and Saturday (16/3/2024) at 03.00 WIB when the electricity was cut off," said Rusman, quoted by JabarNews.com from sukabumiupdate.com, Monday (17/3 /2024).

"The father's pet sheep are around 55, not including the small ones or their kids. "Now there are only 30 of them, so it is estimated that 20 of the large males (badot) are missing, the remaining ones are small," he added.

Rusman explained that the sheep pen was located close to the house, only about 60 meters away. Then every night there is always a routine check.

However, he continued, at the time of the incident all the occupants of the house were fast asleep so the thief, who was thought to be more than one, easily stole dozens of sheep from the unlocked pen.

"Usually he checks every night and morning, but at that time he was naturally sleepy. It is suspected that the thieves used magic spells, so that the occupants of the house fell asleep. "Around the location there were car tire tracks, and rubber rope was found, possibly to tie the sheep's mouths so they wouldn't make a sound," he explained.

"My father is a farmer, he has been raising sheep for years, when there is an urgent need he sells one or two of his sheep, now all he has left are small sheep. "Today's plan is to report to the police," he said. (Ed)
