batampos – The Batam Education Department (Disdik) is still waiting for instructions and implementation of new school uniforms in 2024 in accordance with Minister of Education, Culture and Research and Technology Regulation (Permendikbud) Number 50 of 2022.
"We are still waiting for the technical guidelines (technical instructions). "Until today there are no technical regulations or directions," said Head of the Batam City Education Office, Tri Wahyu Rubianto, Friday (19/4).
Tri said that until now, students from elementary to middle school still wear uniforms as usual. His party is still waiting for a derivative policy from the Riau Islands Provincial Government in the form of a governor's decree.
"After that, we will socialize it," he added.

It is known that the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology has made a policy regarding new school uniforms in 2024. If you look at the rationale for issuing Permendikbudristek Number 50 of 2022, it aims to instill and foster a spirit of nationalism, improve the image of educational units, foster a spirit of unity and unity among students.
There are three types of school uniforms and one traditional clothing used by elementary, middle and high school students, namely national uniforms, scout uniforms and traditional clothing.
Permendikbud 50 of 2022, provides flexibility for schools to regulate the wearing of traditional clothing on certain days in accordance with the school's authority, setting scout uniforms in accordance with Kwarnas decisions. (*)
