After Illegal Levies Viral, SOP at Al Jabbar Mosque Immediately Improved

JABARNEWS | BANDUNG – The Regional Government of West Java Province is strongly committed to improving services at the Al Jabbar Grand Mosque.

This was stated by the Head of the West Java Provincial Secretariat's Welfare Bureau who is also an element of the Al Jabbar Mosque DKM Faiz Rahman after a coordination meeting regarding the evaluation and improvement of services at the Al Jabbar Grand Mosque in Bandung City, Sunday (14/4/2024).

According to Faiz, the coordination meeting which was attended by elements from West Java Province and Forkopimcam or regions in Bandung City was to respond quickly to public complaints regarding parking rates.

"Yes, yesterday it went viral on social media about expensive parking rates imposed by unscrupulous individuals. "So according to the leadership's direction, we immediately held a coordination meeting in the field after this morning there was a meeting via Zoom which was chaired directly by the Acting Governor," said Faiz.

The results of the meeting in Al Jabbar all agreed that there should be additions and improvements to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to improve service.

"Improvements to the SOP include placing several warnings regarding parking fees and where to pay them, etc.," he explained.

Faiz also emphasized that to anticipate similar things, everyone agreed to prepare mitigation measures such as opening more channels for complaints from the public, one of which is the Sapawarga application managed by West Java Province or directly to DKM.

“You can go to Sapawarga, DKM or via the police. "The main thing is through official channels so that it is recorded and can be followed up immediately," he explained.

Faiz emphasized that extortion in Al Jabbar in any form must stop, there must be no more. If there is another similar incident, the government will immediately act decisively.

"Actually, there are 36 official officers here (Al Jabbar) who work in shifts and all of them have received regular training regarding SOPs, services, etc.," he concluded. (Ed)
