Central Government Holds HBKN Alert Call Ahead of Eid Al-Fitr 2024 Through Simultaneous National Cheap Food Movement

batampos– In preparation for Eid al-Fitr 2024, The Indonesian government, through the National Food Agency (Bapanas), held a Coordination Meeting (Rakor) for the National Religious Holiday Alert Ceremony (HBKN) which was aligned with the simultaneous National Cheap Food Movement (GPM) at the Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta, Monday (1/4).< /p>

The Governor of the Riau Islands was represented by the Regional Secretary of the Riau Islands Province, Adi Prihantara, together with Acting. The Mayor of Tanjungpinang Hasan, followed by relevant stakeholders in the food sector in Riau Islands, attended the Coordination Meeting directly via Zoom Meeting.

A total of 341 points in 300 regencies/cities in Indonesia simultaneously held GPM activities, in the Riau Islands Province, especially in Tanjungpinang City, this activity was carried out in the Ramayana Tanjungpinang Mall Yard.

Head of the Indonesian National Food Agency, Arief Prasetyo Adi, in his speech, said that this activity aims to anticipate increases in food prices ahead of the holidays and ensure the availability of sufficient food for the Indonesian people.

Arief also said that at moments like this it is very important to collaborate between the Central Government, Regional Government, business actors and the community in maintaining the Stabilization of Food Supply and Prices (SPHP), especially ahead of important moments such as Eid al-Fitr.

"For this reason, GPM is here to be an important instrument in ensuring the availability and accessibility of food for all levels of society in Indonesia," said Arief.

Meanwhile, the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, represented by the Deputy for Food and Agri-Business Coordination, Musdhalifah Machmud, underlined the importance of cross-sector and cross-regional cooperation in maintaining price stability and availability of basic necessities ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

Musdhalifah continued, this HBKN Alert Call could also be a momentum for all stakeholders to jointly take proactive steps to create stable and affordable prices for all levels of society, so that Eid al-Fitr can be celebrated with peace and blessings.< /p>

"With the spirit of mutual cooperation and collective awareness, we are confident that we can celebrate Eid al-Fitr together with joy and togetherness, while still maintaining economic stability and prosperity in Indonesia," he explained.

Then, the Minister of Agriculture, represented by the Head of the Indonesian Agricultural Extension and Human Resource Development Agency, Deddy Nur Samsy, said that food stocks in Indonesia for the next three months were guaranteed to be safe.

This is because coordination between the government, producers, distributors and retailers has been carried out effectively to ensure adequate food supplies during this period.

"The government and related parties emphasize their commitment to maintaining the availability of sufficient and affordable food for all Indonesian people, for the sake of food security and shared prosperity and we will continue to supervise and monitor developments in the food situation and coordinate actively to face the challenges that arise may arise in the future," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary of the Riau Islands, Adi Prihantara, responding to a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture, also confirmed that the availability of food stocks in the Riau Islands, especially rice, chicken meat and other food commodities, is guaranteed to remain safe in the next three months.

"God willing, food stocks will be distributed to the islands and remote areas of the Riau Islands, and ensure that food prices remain affordable for the people of the Riau Islands," he stressed.

In the same place, Suwarni, a resident of West Tanjungpinang who was met while shopping at this cheap market, said he felt helped so he was interested in coming to this cheap market.
