Compensation for 1000 Orphans and Disabled Children in Pasuruan: Evidence of Government and Baznas Concern

Pasuruan (beritajatim.com) – National Zakat Amil Agency (Baznas) East Java Province together with the East Java Provincial Government and the Pasuruan Regency Government show their concern for orphans and people with disabilities. One form of his concern is by providing compensation to 1,000 orphans and dozens of children with disabilities.

The donation handover event took place in the Pasuruan Regency PCNU office hall which was attended by the Assistant General Administration of the Regional Secretariat of East Java Province, Akhmad Jazuli, the Acting Regent of Pasuruan, Andriyanto; Chairman of Baznas East Java Province, Ali Maschan Moesa; PCNU Chairman KH Imron Mutamakkin; and lecturer, Chairman of PP Muslimat, Khofifah.

Akhmad Jazuli, representing the Acting Governor of East Java, said that this compensation was a form of government responsibility together with Baznas. One of them is by helping people in need.

Jazuli also appreciated Baznas' active role in raising and collecting infaq or alms funds. "We continue to travel around for the Ramadhan Safari and at the same time distribute donations to around 1,000 orphans," said Jazuli, Tuesday (2/4/24).

Jazuli added that Baznas not only provides compensation to orphans and people with disabilities, but also helps MSMEs and micro businesses with capital to reduce poverty rates.

The Acting Regent of Pasuruan, Andriyanto, stated that the Pasuruan Regency Government would also distribute compensation through Baznas in Pasuruan Regency. The target of distributing compensation is not only focused on orphans but also on poor families in Pasuruan Regency.

"Today we are raising funds from district government employees, and later we will convey it to Baznas to distribute it to people who need help," said Andriyanto .

This activity is clear evidence of the government and Baznas' concern for people in need, especially orphans, people with disabilities and poor families. (ada/kun)
