JABARNEWS | BANDUNG – The Panel of Judges at the Bandung Corruption Court, Wednesday 7 February 2024, began trying 5 defendants in a corruption case worth hundreds of millions of rupiah, the Sule Setianegara road maintenance project, Cibeureum District, Tasikmalaya City.
The Public Prosecutor (JPU) charged the defendants with Article 2 paragraph 1 Jo 18 and Subsidiary Article 3 Jo 18 of the Corruption Law with the threat of a sentence of 20 years in prison.
The 5 defendants are Medi Hendrawan, ST., who served as commitment making official (PPK), Agus Zenny and Rismadiyar as contractors and Ir. Yopan Sopian, and Dandan Fariz, ST, as work supervision consultants.
The indictment trial was presided over by Chief Judge Agus Komarudin, SH.MH., in Room 3 of the Bandung Corruption Court.
In the indictment read by the prosecutor The Tasikmalaya City District Prosecutor's Office stated that the five defendants had committed criminal acts of corruption in the maintenance project on Jalan Sule Setianegara, Cibeureum District, Tasikmalaya City, at the Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUTR) Service in 2019.
The prosecutor in his indictment stated that in this case, based on the findings of the Financial Audit Agency (BPK), there was a lack of work volume in the maintenance project on Jalan Sule Setianegara, Cibeureum District, Tasikmalaya City in 2019, resulting in a loss to state finances amounting to IDR 656 million.
