Minister of Health Budi said the discussion of the new free lunch was only limited to the budget and not nutrition

JABARNEWS | BANDUNG – Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin responded to the Prabowo-Gibran free lunch program budget with an allowance of IDR 15,000 per child.

Previously, the free lunch program was also discussed at the Plenary Cabinet Session at the State Palace, last Monday (26/2/2024).

Budi said that discussions regarding the free lunch program were still limited to the budget, and had not gone into further detail regarding nutritional levels.

"What was discussed yesterday was that the 2025 budget be prepared for the transition to the next presidential term," said Budi, quoted by JabarNews.com from Suara.com, Thursday (28/2/2024).

“And one of the main programs is free lunch. "So it's best to start calculating and budgeting," he continued.

As for the allocation of IDR 15,000 per child, Budi did not give a straight answer.

He actually asked the journalist who asked the question whether the Rp. 15,000 allowance per child was enough or not.

"Now I ask journalists, if you eat Rp. 15 thousand, are you full or not? "In Jogja it's enough," he said. (Ed)
