Acting Governor Adhy Inaugurates Two Dormitories of SMAN 3 Taruna Angkasa Jatim

Surabaya (beritajatim.com) – Acting Governor of East Java Adhy Karyono inaugurated two dormitories of SMAN 3 Taruna Angkasa Jatim in Madiun City. This is the East Java Provincial Government's commitment to improving the quality of education.

The two dormitory buildings that were inaugurated were the Garuda dormitory building and the Sukhoi dormitory building. Apart from inaugurating the two dormitories, Adhy Karyono also inaugurated the Handrawina dining room.

"Indeed, since the leadership of Governor Khofifah and Deputy Governor Emil, the commitment to improving the quality of education has continued," said Adhy, Friday (8/3/2024).

In fact, he continued, the education budget allocation in East Java reached 26.5 percent. This means that this amount exceeds the stipulated budget allocation of 20 percent. With this large allocation, it is hoped that it will have an impact on the quality of human resources.

“This has been proven by a number of achievements in the field of education. "In fact, East Java has become the province with the highest student enrollment at State Universities in Indonesia for four years in a row," he said.

Adhy advised that the teaching and learning process at SMAN 3 Taruna Angkasa Jatim can be carried out based on technology, considering globalization and massive technological developments.

"SMAN 3 Taruna Angkasa should be able to adopt technology and digitalization during the teaching and learning process. "Because one of the standards for leading international schools is digitalization," he said.

Meanwhile, East Java Kadindik Aries Agung Paewai said that East Java has the highest number of Cadet High Schools in Indonesia. These include Taruna Nala Malang High School, Tarura Bayangkara High School Banyuwangi, Taruna Brawijaya High School Kediri, and Taruna Angkasa Madiun High School.

“Currently, Taruna Madani High School is being developed in collaboration with Islamic boarding schools in Pasuruan. "So we have five Cadet High Schools in East Java," he said.

Moreover, the majority of Taruna High School graduates in East Java are also accepted into state universities and service and military academies.

"We need to report that 80 percent of cadet students are entering state universities and service schools as well as military academies for the navy, air and land forces and some are also in the police," he concluded. [ipl/ian]
