batampos – The weather forecast for the next week in the Riau Islands region, especially Batam, is predicted to be scorching hot. If there is rain, it will be local with light intensity.

Rika, a resident of Batamcenter felt the heat of the sun quite strongly during the past week. In fact, some of the plants also withered because the hot weather was thought to be very hot.

"It's been almost a week of sweltering heat without any rain. "Plants wilt easily, just when you look at the temperature on your cell phone it's only 31 degrees," said Rika.

BMKG Hang Nadim Batam Coordinator, Suratman, confirmed that the weather has been quite hot recently. Even if it rains, the intensity is light and local.

"With the current weather conditions being hot and rarely raining, people are advised to maintain their body's hydration by drinking enough water according to health recommendations and also protecting the environment from the potential for land fires or rubbish," he explained.(*)
