batampos – The forest in the Hang Nadim Airport area caught fire again, Saturday (10/2). The cause of the fire is thought to be due to hot and hot weather.
"Yes, there was a wide fire at around 13.00 WIB in the Hang Nadim airport area," said the Head of Batam Hang Nadim Airport Area Police, Inspector Davinsi Josie to Batam Pos, Saturday (10/2).
He said that information about this fire started from reports from Avsec Hang Nadim Batam and the BP Batam Fire Danger Management Team (PBK).

After receiving the information, the Hang Nadim Airport Area Police carried out a check. Davinsi said that when his staff went to the field, the fire had already spread. The hot weather and strong winds caused the fire to spread to the surrounding area.
"We are together with the fire brigade, trying to put out the fire," he said.
Davinsi said, to extinguish the fire, three fire engines and three Water Supply units belonging to PBK BP Batam and PBK Pemko Batam were deployed. The fire was successfully extinguished two hours later, at around 15.00 WIB. Davinsi said there were no casualties in the incident.
