Unpaid wages are said to be the motive for gardeners to kill their employers in West Bandung

JABARNEWS │ BANDUNG – General Crime Directorate (Ditreskrimum) West Java Regional Police revealed the motive and method by which the perpetrator had the heart to kill and bury Didi Hartanto's body under the floor of his house in West Bandung Regency.

The suspect, identified as gardener at Bumi Citra Indah 2 Housing, Pataruman Village, Cihampelas District, West Bandung Regency, THIS is known as I.

The Director of General Crimes at the West Java Regional Police, Kombes Pol Surawan, revealed that the motive for perpetrator I to kill the victim was because the victim had not been paid his wages. Perpetrator I is said to have worked for two days and collected wages of IDR 300 thousand from Didi.

"From the statement, the motive is that the suspect asked for Rp. 300 thousand for work for two days, but we are still investigating it," said Surawan at the scene of the incident on Tuesday (16/4).

However, Surawan emphasized that his party needs to investigate the perpetrator's motives. It was stated that after killing the victim, the perpetrator also took a number of valuables belonging to the victim.

Surawan explained that these items were taken after I killed Didi and buried her body under the kitchen ceramic floor to a depth of 50 cm.

"After committing the murder, the suspect also took the victim's valuables, including a motorbike, house certificate, then a cell phone," explained Surawan.

Furthermore, suspect I admitted that he used a blunt iron to end the victim's life. However, the police have not specified in detail how I carried out the murder.

"From the statement, the suspect was (killed) with a blunt iron, while we are waiting for the post-mortem results from the hospital to determine the cause of death," he said.

For his actions, suspect I, who was arrested in the Cianjur area, will be charged under Article 338 Jo 340 of the Criminal Code concerning Premeditated Murder. This case brought public attention to the cruelty and crimes committed by the perpetrator against the victim. (red)
