Two BRILink Agents Robbed, BRI Lamongan Says This

Lamongan (beritajatim.com) – BRI Lamongan expressed its concern over the robbery incident experienced by two BRILink agents , in Lamongan Regency.

The robbery was carried out by a man who initially pretended to be a BRI customer. But suddenly the man pointed a firearm and threatened the local BRILink employee.

This robbery incident was caught on CCTV and went viral. First, on Tuesday (26/3/2024), targeting BRILink agents in Sugio Village, Sugio District, Lamongan. Second on Wednesday (27/3/2024) evening in Kemlagigede Village, Turi District.

"Regarding this incident, BRI Lamongan is also concerned about the incident that happened to the BRILink Agent in Kemlagi Village and the Brilink Agent in Sugio Market," said Edy Hariyadi, BRI Lamongan Branch Manager, Friday (29/3/2024).

Edi Hariyadi explained that the BRILink agent is the official agency partner of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, which carries out banking service activities using devices facilitated by BRI.

Due to the incident that happened to BRILink, said Edy, BRI is committed to always increasing the feeling of security and comfort for all customers in carrying out banking transactions, both in BRI Work Units and at BRILink Agents throughout Indonesia.

"BRI continues to provide education to BRILink Agents on how to maintain security in operations and transactions, besides that Agents must continue to be alert to potential crimes," he explained.

Now, according to Edy, BRI has completely handed over the robbery case to the authorities to resolve the incident through legal channels. BRI also hopes that the perpetrators can be immediately arrested and punished appropriately.
